| 12/13/2009 - Commercial Burglary/Theft of tools and equipment | ***$5,000. REWARD***
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a commercial burglary involving the theft of tools, including welders and a generator, from a large commercial yard. Total loss in the theft exceeds $40,000.00.
Sometime between Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 10:00 pm and Monday, December 14, 2009 at 7:00 am, unknown suspects entered a commercial yard located in the 17000 block of Highway 46 East near Shandon. After entering the yard, the unknown suspects cut locks on several storage containers and removed various tools, including welders, a generator, a floor jack, a plasma cutter and pressure washer.

| | 10/25/2009 - Felony assault and battery causing significant injury | ***REWARD $1000.00***
On October 25, 2009 at approximately 1:48 AM, downtown bicycle police officers were flagged down by several bystanders at 735 Higuera, Bubble Gum Alley. Nathan Moore was found lying on the ground unconscious. A witness reported seeing the suspect punch Moore knocking him to the ground. The suspect fled the area and was last seen walking eastbound on Higuera. SLO City Fire and San Luis Ambulance paramedics responded to administer first aid. Moore was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital where he remains in the intensive care unit with a significant head injury.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20-25 years old, 5’-7”, blonde hair described as “buzz cut”, wearing a tan color shirt and blue jeans.
The witness reported seeing several bystanders possibly witnessing the assault. | | 9/8/2009 - Stabbing / Attempt Murder | On September 8, 2009 at about 8:45 pm, Morro Bay Police Department received a 911 call stating someone had been attacked and appeared to have been stabbed. Morro Bay Police responded and found a male adult, approximately 21 years of age, in front of a business in the 300 block of Morro Bay Blvd. The subject was bleeding from what appeared to be several stab wounds to his back and arm. Morro Bay Fire Department responded and provided medical assistance and the subject was transported to Sierra Vista Hospital for further treatment.
The original witness saw two suspects identified as Hispanic male adults running from the scene, East on Morro Bay Blvd toward Shasta Ave. San Luis Obispo Deputy Sheriffs responded and assisted Morro Bay Police with checking the area in an attempt to locate the suspects. Morro Bay Harbor Patrol and the United States Coast Guard also assisted by checking along the water front areas after a second witness stated they had seen two Hispanic males running toward the Embarcadero area.
The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male approximately 18-20 years of age, 5’7” tall and wearing a zip-up gray hoodie and blue jeans. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 22-23 years of age, 5’7” tall, shaved head, goatee, wearing a black t-shirt and blue jean shorts.
Morro Bay Police Detectives interviewed the victim at the hospital and obtained a statement. The victim had just met the subjects and believed they were from out of the area.
Morro Bay Police Department needs the public’s help in identifying the suspects to this crime and is asking for anyone with information related to this crime to call Morro Bay Police Department at 772-6225. | | 9/5/2009 - Vandals Steal Bronze Falcon and Damage Statue at Morro Bay State Park Museum of Natural History | California State Parks is requesting assistance from the community for any information associated with the vandalism and damage of a bronze statue at the entrance to the Morro Bay State Park Museum of Natural History located in Morro Bay.
Sometime in the late evening or early morning hours between September 5th and September 6th, 2009, the bronze statue "Seasons Come Seasons Go" was vandalized by an unknown suspect or suspects at the Museum of Natural History. A portion of the statue, a Peregrine Falcon, was stolen and the statue was damaged when it was removed by force. The $25,000 piece of artwork, completed by artist Mark Greenaway, was donated in 2002 during the re-opening and re-dedication of the Museum. The damage is estimated at approximately $7,000. (In the attached photograph, the statue is shown intact, prior to the theft and damage. The missing Peregrine Falcon is seen leaving the statue`s hands).

| | 7/21/2009 - BURGLARY/SHOPLIFT | San Luis Obispo County Sheriff`s coast station deputies are trying to identify two male subjects who removed a 15" flat screen video monitor from the Coast Electronics store on Los Osos Valley Rd. shortly afternoon, on Tuesday, July 21, 2009.
Two males entered the store and when the clerk was distracted, one of the suspects ran out of the store with a flat screen monitor.
A witness saw the suspects running out of the store and alerted authorities. Surveillance photos from the store showing the two men are being released today in an effort to identify the suspects. People who recognize the suspects are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 549-STOP or the Sheriff`s Coast Station at 528-6083.
A vehicle associated with the theft is described as a late model Toyota Tundra 4 door, silver in color with a short bed, possibly with a fifth-wheel attachment, lifted with grey custom wheels.

| | 12/12/2005 - ARMED ROBBERY | | The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff`s Department is asking for the public`s help in identifying the subject who robbed the Santa Margarita Plaza Liquor Store at 22350 G Street in Santa Margarita, CA on 12-12-05 at 10:40 am. After showing the clerk a black handgun and demanding money he fled in a smaller silver sedan northbound on El Camino Real. He is described as a male approximately 40-50 years old, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 175-200 pounds with short blond hair, possibly balding.
